Although there is news that Kevin Conroy won’t be voicing the Bats, and Rocksteady is no longer the developer of the game, Batman: Arkham Origins may very well be pretty great if this trailer directly translates to gameplay. We can all hope, right?

A car slides up to the docks in Gotham, and a few thugs jump out of the vehicle. From the back they pull a large case and make their way inside a warehouse. Dropping the case, they make to turn on the lights but the fuse is blown. One thug goes to check the fuse box, but there is a loud sound and he doesn’t return. Searching, one thug gets pulled into the ground by an unseen force. Another investigates and finds his back towards…the Batman! A fight begins and ends just as quick, and Batman makes his way to the box. Opening it, a small device counts to zero, then quickly begins counting down from five seconds. Bursting through the warehouse door, Batman narrowly escapes getting caught in the blast.
Only to find someone calling down from above. A ninja. Batman gives chase and ends up on top of several stacked shipping crates in combat with Deathstroke. The assassin pulls a sword, but Batman breaks it with the fins on his gauntlets. Deathstroke pulls another blade, but it is quickly cut in half. By a bullet. From across the bay lays Deadshot with his sniper rifle. He isn’t letting his quarry be taken by anyone else. Another shot flies out, this time weakening a chain holding a shipping crate, and both Batman and Deathstroke must jump out of the way.
Soon, Deathstroke has words with Black Mask, telling him to keep his other assassins on a leash. Batman finds an empty shell casing from Deadshot’s last location. It’s going to be a long night.
