Today is Halloween so it feels right to put up a trailer for what will certainly be a nice, spooky game. Frictional Games’ Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, coming in 2013, should fit the bill nicely. Today a new teaser was released for the title, and if you like scary pigs, then you should probably watch.

According to the AAMFP website, here is the story so far:
The year is 1899. Wealthy industrialist Oswald Mandus has returned home from a disastrous expedition to Mexico, which has ended in tragedy. Wracked by fever, haunted by dreams of a dark machine, he recovers consciousness in his own bed, with no idea of how much time has passed since his last memory. As he struggles to his feet, somewhere beneath him, an engine splutters, coughs, roars into life…
In this trailer, we see the main character holding nothing but a lantern and walking about dark, pipe-laden corridors. Some of the shots show him doing some puzzles, turning some knobs, cranking some cranks, until the lights go out. There is a monster about, and it sounds like it might have a snout.
My favorite part of the trailer is actually right at the end, when we hear two characters speaking: “…but there surely are not enough pigs in the whole of London to feed the appetite of such a machine.” “That all rather depends, professor, on what one considers to be a pig.” Snap!
